CEDA began in 2001 at Leiden University, where Dr. Sangwon Suh developed the world's first environmentally extended input-output (EEIO) model. Dr. Sangwon Suh has spent more than 20 years building the foundations of global carbon data—as an architect of the GHG Protocol, IPCC author, and founder of VitalMetrics (acquired by Watershed).
Today, CEDA is developed and maintained by Dr. Sangwon Suh, Dr. Mo Li who was a lead developer of the US EPA’s USEEIO model, and the climate and data science team at Watershed.
